Master of Science in Horticulture is a postgraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. Horticulture is the science, art, technology and business that involved in intensive plant cultivation for human use. The duration of M.Sc. in Horticulture is mostly two academic years but it varies from institute to institute. Horticulture is concerned it is the science of plant cultivation including the process of preparing the soil for the planting of seeds, tubers and cuttings. Horticulturists work and conduct research in the disciplines of plant propagation and cultivation, crop production, plant breeding and genetic engineering, plant biochemistry, and plant physiology. The Central Agricultural University is providing in two years. The minimum time to complete the course is two years. The course is divided into four semesters.
The applicants should have completed their 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or any equivalent examination with minimum aggregate marks of 50% and above from a recognized university listed under UGC/AIU.
