About Department
The Bachelor in Pharmacy is a four year degree program that begins with a foundation of coursework in mathematics and the basic sciences chemistry, biology, and physics. This interdisciplinary program then progresses to advanced coursework in the pharmaceutical sciences, including aspects of drug design and synthesis, mechanisms of drug action, pharmacology and toxicology, dosage formulation, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. It also prepares students for professional or graduate studies in graduate education in pharmaceutical, medical, and basic sciences and post baccalaureate professional education in medicine, law, and business.
M. Pharm – Overview
Master of Pharmacy is a two-year postgraduate program in Pharmacy. The department has experienced and highly qualified faculty working towards improving the skills of PG students by involving them in training, industry oriented projects, exposing to workshops and guest lectures.
Program Specific Outcomes
- Work in different divisions of pharmaceutical industry like manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, analytical research, formulation research and regulatory affairs.
- Become an entrepreneur in the areas of formulation research and development, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, pharmaceutical consultancy services, drug sales and distribution.
- Explore opportunities in collaboration with various pharmaceutical companies and variety of health care professionals to ensure clinical drug trials as per regulatory guidelines for the testing of drugs.
