School of Paramedics and Allied Health Sciences (SoPAHS) is accredited by Government of Odisha. (DMET) and Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is designed as one of the best model paramedical departments in Eastern India where raw talent is shaped and guided. It has been established to play a pivotal role to produce performance-oriented professionals who will excel in their respective fields with excellence and shape the destiny of the healthcare industry. The focus is on providing dedicated programs to empower all health sector staff (excluding the doctors) with knowledge and skills they need to excel in their respective specializations. It offers programs in Optometry, Medical Laboratory Technician, Radiation Technology, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia, Clinical Microbiology and more. It has a state-of-the-art infrastructure like an Operation Theatre, Biochemistry Analyzer, Electrotherapy, ELISA, Lens Dispensing Unit from Essilor. The school implements a hands-on practice component for students through its 40+ hospital partnerships. They get to work with hospitals like Apollo Care, L. V. Eye Hospital, Vijaya Diagnostic, Vizag Eye Hospital (VISAKHA) and many more. In addition, some programs have a full one-year internship. The school also successfully runs its community diagnostic center to help serve the nearby communities. The school assures placement through its well-connected networks.

SoPAHS is committed to Sustainable Development Goals focusing on No Poverty, Good Health and Well Being, Quality Education, Reduced Inequality, and Partnership for Goals. Community Diagnostics Center (CDC) is established and operated by faculty and students of SoPAHS as an action learning laboratory catering to the health need of the community. A full-time resident doctor with specialist (on request) caters to the University`s students and staff health needs besides serving the local community. All the pathological investigation are carried out by the school at a subsidized price which makes the services affordable and accessible to the poor. It conducts mass vaccination (for COVID) program at the centre for students and the community. Similarly, Department of Physiotherapy enables the students learn from hands on experience while treating the patients. SoPAHS, taking cognizance of the dismal doctor/ paramedic to student ratio in India and more particularly in rural Odisha, offers a Diploma in Community Health Practice in collaboration with NGO Swasthya Swaraj. The graduates of the program extend basic health services to remote geographies. Importantly, SoPAHS being located in rural area makes a difference in reaching out to community through various outreach programs and health camps. In partnership with Essilor, the optical store offers free optometric services and corrective devices at a subsidized price.
