On the 9th of February 2024, Centurion University welcomed a distinguished delegation from OPTCL comprising five senior officials, including Chandrashekhar Pradhan – CGM HR, Anita Mohapatra – GM HR, and Punam Jojo – L & D incharge. The purpose of their visit was to explore the facilities available for conducting their management trainees’ induction program.
The delegation’s visit commenced with a warm welcome at the Pollinators Paradise, setting the tone for an insightful journey through the campus. From the outset, it was evident that the agenda was meticulously crafted to showcase the diverse facets of the University.
The tour kicked off with a brief yet informative session on transformative initiatives such as Waste to Wealth, WELL, and Pavers, underscoring the institution’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The delegation then proceeded to explore the Apparel COE/CCD, witnessing firsthand the integration of academic rigour with industry relevance.
As they navigated through the campus, the delegation gained insights into the ecosystem, fostering practical learning and industrial exposure for students. The itinerary included a much-needed break at the CCC Coffee break, fostering informal exchanges and networking opportunities.
The subsequent visits to the School of Maritime and the School of Paramedics & Allied Health Sciences showcased the institution’s investment in specialized domains, catering to the evolving needs of the industry. The discussions around Industry 5.0 underscored the proactive approach of the University towards embracing emerging trends and technologies.
The highlight of the visit was perhaps the interactive session over lunch, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas. Here, the OPTCL delegation had the opportunity to delve deeper into the synergies between their organizational objectives and the capabilities of the University.
