About the Programme
The program is industry oriented, and students are facilitated to get a lamp license as they have to undergo a mandatory one-year mining internship with leading mines in Eastern India. Students also use software tools like Geovia for prospecting quantity and quality of material availability, mine planning, scheduling, and logistics planning. From geological prospecting to evacuation of the minerals, they also get a holistic view of the mines. The university is presently focused on digitalization of mines as a key specialization area. Mining Engineer Mining Engineer is responsible to extract underground resources for example metals, minerals, gas and oil are extracted safely as well as efficiently. They are also responsible to produce models and plans for reasonable mining sites.
Lead Engineer Lead Engineer is responsible to manage product development department’s tasks with proficient scope. These projects are generally multi stream or complex in nature. They additionally maintain and develop a project budget which includes tooling, parts and external professional services for assign tasks.
Site Manager Site Manager is responsible to oversee operations on daily basis, and assure the work is completed safely on time and inside the budget and with a good quality standard.
Deputy Manager Deputy Manager is responsible to motivate staff, handle managerial or administrative responsibilities, and performs human resource assignments for example; hiring and assessing staff performance.
Lecturer Lecturer is responsible to creating lecture and lecture planning, research and preparation; they also check assessing students work.
