M.Tech in VLSI Design
About the Program
M.Tech in VLSI Design is two year full time course offered by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) is a process of combining thousands of transistors into a single chip for varieties of application used for different field of Engineering. VLSI provides improved solutions for high speed networking, high performance computers, and special applications of integrated circuits, requiring the use of multiple disciplines. There is urgent need to absorb and assimilate the latest development in the VLSI and embedded system design field. VLSI industry needs VLSI design engineers and embedded system design engineers. In this regard, the Department of Electronics and Communication has started M.Tech VLSI Design. The Department of ECE has been offering the M.Tech programme since 2012 and successfully completed its 8 years of journey with an outcome of Quality Thesis work with 35+ publication index with UGC/Scopus/WoS.
The two years’ post graduate program deal with the subjects like Analog VLSI Circuit, Digital Integrated Circuit Design, VLSI System Architecture, Semiconductor Device Modeling, Digital VLSI Circuit, VLSI and MEMS Packaging, Nano Technology. Low Power VLSI Design. The main objective of the programme is to make the students learn about the VLSI Technology and Design; also develop skill to enhance their research activity in the field of VLSI Chip Design. The VLSI Design Labs consists of Solid state circuit Lab, VLSI CAD Lab, Low power VLSI Design equipped with latest software like CADENCE, Xilinx, OrCad, Multisim, MATLAB and Simulink.
