I earned my Bachelor degree in Agriculture and allied subjects and master in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, west Bengal, India. In bachelor I worked on commercial rice seed production and in master I worked on improvement of jute at Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibers, Barrack pore, West Bengal, India. I have been awarded PhD the title of “Studies on preventive measures to reduce the post-harvest losses in onion (Allium cepa L.) from
National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), . A first-hand study which is completely different from the domain of my Master degree. I have first time reported worldwide on colorimetric sensors for visual detection of post-harvest spoilage in onions. I have been honored with many awards like National Citizenship Gold Medal Award, Best Achiever, Best Oral Presentation Award and Young Scientist Award from different National organizations. My exposure to the different domains of knowledge equips me well to perceive and execute ideas with different perspectives. Moreover, during my academic career I learned the use of SPSS which is necessary for any researchers. |
