Dr. Sivala Kumar, Dean, School of Agricultural and BIO-Engineering. Retired as Associate Dean, College of Food Science and Technology (ANGRAU), Bapatla in 2017 with a total experience of 36 years in teaching and research. I completed B.Tech Agricultural Engineering from OUAT, Bhubaneswar in 1978. I served as research assistant for around 2 years in OUAT. I did my M.Tech in Post Harvest Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Completed Ph.D as an in-service candidate from IIT Kharagpur in 1990. I also worked in the Post Harvest Technology Center, IIT Kharagpur for around 12 years 6 months in both Research and Teaching. Joined as Associate Professor and Head at ANGRAU Bapatla in 1996. Promoted to Professor in 2004 and Senior Professor in 2014. Meanwhile also, worked as the Head of the Post Harvest Technology Center, Bapatla from 2003 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2013 (in full additional charge) in ANGRAU, Bapatla. Also associated with All India Co-ordinated Research project(AICRP) on Post Harvest Technology (PHT) for "Assessment of Post Harvest losses of different Agricultural Produce in 3 districts of AndhraPradesh namely Krishna, Guntur, Nellore each district covering 10 villages".
Under my guidance 3 in service scholars were awarded Ph.D degree within a span of 5 years.
Under my supervision 6 students were awarded M.Tech Degree.
I have to my credit publications in 5 International journals and 21 National journals. Participated in 3 International and 20 National Conferences.
