About Me

I have completed my M.Sc. (Ag) in Agronomy from University of Calcutta and submitted the thesis entitled “Studies on seed priming and foliar nutrients on growth and productivity of black gram [Vigna mungo (l.) hepper] in Gangetic Alluivial soils of West Bengal”. I worked as a Senior Research Fellow, in a research project entitled “Studies on bio-efficacy and phyto-toxicity of different formulations of 2,4-D.” sponsored by M/S. Mahamaya Life Science Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. I have done my Ph.D. in Agronomy as an INSPIRE Fellow (JRF-Professional) under INSPIRE Fellowship Program of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, in the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal where I was assigned the research program on the topic of “Effect of integrated weed management and different tillage practices on Rice-Wheat cropping system in the Lower Gangetic plains”. I also worked as a Technical officer (Weed science) under Ministry of agriculture & farmer’s welfare, Department of agriculture, cooperation & farmers welfare, Directorate of plant protection, quarantine & storage, Govt. of India.
