Dr. Sagar Maitra (b 29-08-1969) is a Ph.D. in Agronomy, having about 22years of experience in multifaceted fields of agriculture and allied activities including research as well as extension of farming technology. He has 55 publications of research articles and more than 100 popular articles. He played a significant role in dissemination of improved farming technology with the help of print and electronic media. He edited a monthly farm magazine (in Bengali language) for about six years. Besides, he has a good command on electronic media as he worked as a Sr. Producer of a farm based program in a satellite TV channel for more that 15 years.
