About Me

Dr. Rashmi K. has done her Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding with a specialization in Resistant Breeding (Biotic stress) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Her education includes a B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, and an M.Sc. (GPB) from SDAU, Dantiwada, Gujarat. During her Ph.D. she received a UGC fellowship and she is a lifetime member of the Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding.

Her research is primarily focused on resistance breeding, Quantitative genetics, and Marker-assisted breeding in wheat crops and is targeted to identify resistant variety for spot blotch disease through marker-assisted breeding.
