I am working in the domain of Applied Hydrodynamics, Experimental hydraulics, and Turbulence in open-channel flows for the last 6 years. My major research contributions have been to predict the velocity profile and turbulence characteristics in narrow and wide-open channel flow; to understand the sediment transport mechanisms and flow physics, and apply the concepts to design sustainable hydraulic structures. I have also worked on water quality modeling.
