About Me |
---|
My academic training and research experience primarily in the field of
life sciences enables me to be an effective faculty in the Department of
Zoology. My experiences have helped me to fine-tune my organizing
ability which is an essential element for this position. I love to stay
busy, mentally alert and physically fit to act smartly, which are
prerequisites for this position. My research experience at Republic of
South Korea was essentially related to the post-translational regulation
of genes where we studied several critical immune genes commonly
present across eukaryotes. It was exciting as this field is trending now
in the field of science. Our studies were applicable to the plant and
animal models as well. Part of our study was published in the
prestigious Journal “Plant Cell†(American Society of Plant Biologists).
As a result of our research outcome, we are able to decipher the
molecular mechanism/s involved in post-translational control on fate of
messenger RNA’s. We can extend our research outcomes to reveal several
unknown mechanisms in the field of immunity. I am equally interested in
the field of aquaculture including pisciculture and animal biodiversity
as evident from my publications. I am excited to share and continue to
explore this methodology and collaborate with department faculties to
expand its potential. My past experiences as Post Graduate Teacher in
Biology at Demonstration Multipurpose School, Bhubaneswar (NCERT),
Assistant Professor in Zoology at Regional Institute of Education,
Bhubaneswar (NCERT) and research activities have built my confidence and
an interest in teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to not
only teach existing courses, but also work to develop new ones.
