About Me

I, Dr. Chhayabrita Maji, is a Physicist by training with expertise in experimental condensed matter physics, material science, nanostructures and surface science. The material spectrum extends from 3-dimensional materials to 0-dimensional materials. The scientific exploration expands from bulk magnetic properties, transport properties to electronic structure of low-dimensional systems. The investigations are directed towards improving the property of material for environment-friendly green technology. My physics learning at different phases of education through various experiments inspired me to undertake PhD training from UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Indore (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya), India. The understanding of the lessons learnt became more meaningful and in-depth by performing relevant experiments. Thus, further, I underwent post-doctoral training with advanced experimental techniques at BESSY-II, Berlin, Germany. I was awarded with Marie-Curie Fellowship of European Union for post-doctoral training. I am very much inspired through experience of Marie Curie as she said, “A scientist in his laboratory is not a mere technician: he is also a child confronting natural phenomena that impress him as though they were fairy tales.” I am very much motivated to shape the young generation through my treasure of knowledge and research experience. I love to read and soft classical instrumental music soothes me. To know more about me: http://www.chhayabrita.com/
